Shanghai Century Park is located in Pudong new-area administrative cultural center in Shanghai. It is the largest naturally ecological park in downtown Shanghai. It is called the Holiday Garden.

The general layout of the park was fully designed by LUC Company of United Kingdom. This park covers the total area of 140.3 hectares with the whole cost of 1 billion RMB Yuan. The designing idea fully embodies the conception of the mutual integration of human and nature as well as Sino-western gardening art. The park is obviously characterized of the harmonization of nature and human, urbanization and environmental-friendliness. This park gives the priority to grasslands, forests and lakes. There are roughly seven scenic areas namely: countryside farming landscape, lakeside area, lawn area with some woods, bird’s preservation, and exotic-zone and mini-golf court. There are also 45 scenic spots such as century flower bell, Mirror-sky Lake, High-pillar fountain, south-area impression, Oriental Hongzhu Bonsai garden, green-world basso-relievo, music fountain, music square, Yuan pool, bird island and so on. In the park, the children fairyland, leisure bicycle, sightseeing bus, yacht, green maze, fishing zone and pigeon zone and so on thirteen participation programs for amusement are available. Meanwhile, the exhibition hall, coffee house, tea house, century dining room and some others shops are also providing convenience to customers.

The green covering is also occupying the large part of park. The beautiful scenery in the park indeed gives the visitors a feeling of natural relaxation in mega-city.
