The wharf was designed with an annual throughput capacity of 1 million people. There are weekly ferry services from Shanghai to Nagasaki (Japan), Cheju (South Korea), Mokpo (South Korea), Kobe (Japan), Osaka (Japan) and Hong Kong. As to domestic cruise, Shanghai Wusong Passenger Transport Center, located at the meeting of Yangtze River estuary and Huangpu River, is an important passenger port with many domestic sea routes in operation, with a number of destinations such as Dinghai, Mt. Putuo Shan, Nantong, Zhoushan, Daishan and some other cities along the Yangtze River. Other major Docks in Shanghai include Shanghai Gongping Road Dock, Shanghai Jinshan Dock, Shanghai Baoyang Road Dock, and Shanghai Shidongkou Dock.
